About Koh Sirey
East of Phuket City is KohSiray, another sea gypsy village, and the PhuketAquarium.
Near the crossroads to Kata and Karon beaches is a temple called WatChalong. East of the intersection is AoChalong, a charming little fishing village with excellent restaurants.
It is also a convergence point to the island of LoanIsland, which has now developed into a tourist destination.
How to get there
It is located east of Phuket Town and takes about 15 minutes by car.
Tips
Koh Sirey is a little-known island, separate from Phuket but connected by a bridge. Wat Koh Sirey is a gold temple located in the middle of the island. It is actually a replica of the Chai Thiyo Pagoda in Myanmar. It’s on top of a hill, so the views all around are outstanding! If you have a rental car, you should drive to the top. It is quite a walk. It is a wonder that such a wonderful place is not introduced very often. I think it’s a great place for those who have a sense of adventure. I am sure you will be satisfied.
