About Dusit Zoo
Dusit Zoo is located in Dusit District, Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, opened in 1954, covering an area of 47 acres, is the first zoo established in Thailand, is also the most popular zoo, there are more than 1,600 kinds of animals from home and abroad, just like a world of animals, about a2.5 million visitors every year to visit this exotic world of animals.
Dusit Zoo was originally the private garden of King Rama V. In 1938, the king donated the garden and set it up as a zoo. The zoo combines education, research and animal conservation, and has an outstanding record in animal breeding and nursing, bringing together more than 1,600 species of mammals, birds and amphibians, including the only red muntjac in Thailand, and one of the best gibbon zoos in the world. The most interesting thing is that visitors can also see nocturnal wildlife such as bats, bear civets, and broom-tailed porcupines, which live comfortably in their own environment. This vast area is not only a place for animals to live, but also a place for people to relax in a beautiful environment filled with flowers and trees.
It is a zoo for all ages and is more attractive to children, who can not only see the animals but also meet them and learn about them, and is open from 9:00 to 18:00.
