About Ao Nang Beach
Ao Nang Beach is located about 20 km from the seaside city of Krabi and is the most lively tourist beach in Krabi as well as the most famous beach, so people often say that a visit to Ao Nang Beach is a must when visiting Krabi.
Ao Nang Beach has clear water for diving and there is a dive training center on the beach that teaches students basic diving courses.
The streets of Ao Nang are full of restaurants, hotels and stores with all kinds of amenities, and the transportation is extremely convenient as the drive from Krabi Airport to Ao Nang Beach is only about 30 minutes, and of course tourists can also rent boats from Ao Nang Beach to visit nearby attractions such as Lelei Beach and Poda Island.

How to get there
Getting to Ao Nang Beach from Krabi Airport
Krabi airport is a small airport. (though still enough to fly international).
The only way to get to Ao Nang is by cab or shared-ride bus.
The ticket center is located at the exit of Krabi Airport, to the left of the exit.
Cab
600 Baht.
It takes about 30 minutes.
Shared-ride bus
50 Baht
Wait about 30 minutes for departure.
The bus can hold about 30 people and takes about an hour to go by everyone’s hotel.
The driver shouts out the name of the hotel, but some people don’t even know their own hotel name, so it takes a long time. It can be quite stressful.
We recommend that you share the cab or take a cab without hesitation.
By the way, be aware that when you arrive in the evening, the exchange counter is closed. It is a good idea to have 200 baht in advance.
Tips
The main street is lined with a variety of stores.
Many of the stores sell coconut oil and 100% natural soaps.
There are no large stores, and the selection is similar, so it is best to go to a few stores and buy what you like. Prices are the same everywhere.
There is also a store at the airport in Krabi.
If you want to buy candies or other food as souvenirs, you can do so at the airport as well. Prices are not that different.
